21-Year-Old Guardsman Reportedly Led Online Group Where Intel Docs Leaked

The feds have honed in on a 21-year-old member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard as they continue to probe how a trove of highly classified documents about the war between Ukraine and Russia were leaked last week, according to a New York Times report.

The report said authorities are seeking to speak with Jack Teixeira, who oversees a private online group of teens and young men where the docs first leaked. Teixeira reportedly works in the intelligence wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard.

The Times reported that nobody—including Teixeira—has been officially deemed a suspect in the leak, which exposed the grim prospects for Ukraine’s war with Russia and sparked panic inside the White House.

The Washington Post, citing sources, reported Thursday that the man behind the leak is “a young, charismatic gun enthusiast who shared highly classified documents with a group of far-flung acquaintances.” Teixeira was not named in the report.
